Supreme Court advises against recording of court proceedings.

A helpline number, 1881 was introduced to help with the filing of cases electronically. The Supreme Court advised against recording or broadcasting of its proceedings. Amidst the lockdown in the country, the urgent matters are heard via video conferencing.

The Court, hereby said that, “Parties are required to ensure that the proceedings by video- conference are neither recorded/stored nor broadcast, in any manner whatsoever, as recording/copying/storing and/or broadcasting, by any means, of the hearings and proceedings before the Supreme Court of India are expressly prohibited”.
