On Monday The Delhi High Court adjourned the hearing of a petition documented by a pregnant lady, looking for consent to go through clinical end or termination of her pregnancy, having finished 21 weeks of Gestation Period.
A bench of single judge led by Justice Rekha Palli recorded the matter for September 21, on request of adv. Sneha Mukherjee, showing up on behalf of the applicant, who educated the court that the Specialists of Clinical Leading group of AIIMS have expressed that they can offer their perspective, when certain tests are led. Adv. Mukherjee further expressed that the said tests have been performed and the outcomes are anticipated, which will take around 6-7 days.
Justice Palli communicated her dismay at the deferral, as the matter was identified with clinical end of pregnancy and postponement could prompt confusions. The lady is looking for clinical end of her pregnancy, as her foetus is experiencing different abnormalities, including nuchal edema and a bilateral cleft lip and palate. She has put on record, a ultrasound report dated September 4, 2021, affirming the same.

The request has been documented and contended by Sneha Mukherjee, who has taken care of in excess of twelve clinical end of pregnancy cases and is a vocal ally of outright privileges of a lady, in issue of pregnancy.
