Supreme court lawyer filed complaint and demanded FIR against Rahul Gandhi for revealing the rape victim’s family in Delhi cantt rape case

A Supreme Court legal counselor has filed a complaint to the Station House Official, Police headquarters Tilak Marg, mentioning a FIR against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for posting tweet uncovering the character of the relatives of a nine-year-old young lady, who was purportedly assaulted, killed and her body was coercively incinerated by her aggressors in the Delhi Cantonment region.

Umesh Babu Chaurasia (advocate) requested that a FIR be enlisted against Mr Gandhi under Section 228A of the IPC, 1860; 74 of the Juvenile justice Act, 2015; and 23 of the POCSO Act, 2012, for unveiling the character of the kid.

It claimed that the tweet by Mr Gandhi is disregarding headings gave by the apex court on account of Nipun Saxena versus Association of India, 2019, for ensuring the character of kid casualties of sexual offenses, in as much as by the said tweet, the personality of the casualty became noticeable to the world on the loose. It was additionally asserted that the said tweet encroached upon the security of the person in question and her family.

NCPCR Executive Priyank Kanoongo said the kid rights body made a move subsequent to taking awareness of reports, which said that the Congress chief ‘undermined’ the personality of the minor assault casualty by posting the photo of her folks on the miniature writing for a blog website.
