The newly appointed Justice Minister Kiren Rijiju recently said that the virtual hearing of cases by the courts cannot replace the face-to-face / physical hearing and that the government will soon be offering some form of financial relief to the legal community.
The Federal Minister of Law also stated that he will try to discuss with the higher judges of all the higher courts to restore normal conditions, and has already discussed this issue with the Chief Justice of India.
He further said that he also discussed the economic problems that lawyers face with the Minister of Finance and expressed the hope that the government will soon provide some kind of relief to the interests of lawyers. On July 25, Law Minister Rijiju delivered a speech at an event organized by the Indian Bar Association to facilitate this.
The Federal Minister of Law also emphasized that there is a great need to improve the level of law schools, and the establishment of law schools is a normal task.
It is important that the Minister of Legal Affairs also stated that he is willing to listen to the opinions of the Indian Bar Council on necessary amendments to the Law of Lawyers.
