Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa stepped from the leadership position, ending months of uncertainty. On Sunday, the towering Lingayat politician stated that he would decide on his fate as Karnataka chief minister on July 26, after his govt served the state for two years.
On the subject of his likely resignation, Yediyurappa remarked on Sunday, “We’ll find out tomorrow. High command has yet to provide me with any details. I’ll know by tonight or tomorrow afternoon. We will commemorate our 2-year anniversary tomorrow.”
BJP President JP Nadda praised Yediyurappa for doing a “wonderful job” as Karnataka Chief Minister.
Earlier this year, speculations circulated in Karnataka about four-time chief minister BS Yediyurappa’s departure, which drew fantastic support from the Lingayat minority. The 77-year-old has already dropped sufficient signals that he is on his way out, although these politicians whose names have been bandied around to take his place have rejected any such predictions as just political whispers.
