On June 29, 2021 it was decided that the supreme court will again hear the petition of the postponement, extra chance, opt-out options and increased exam centres for ICAI CA exam 2021, and the petition will be heard by Justice AM Khanwilkar, Justice Dinesh Maheshwari and Justice Aniruddha Bose.
Satya narain perumal, Anuba Shrivastava sahai and the third by a group of CA aspirants filed the petition. They demanded moderation in the Standard Operation Process (SOPs) issued for the exams.
Advocate Anubha Shrivastava sahai filed the appeal that the exams should be postponed because the authorities are not being able to follow the COVID 19 protocol.
The ICAI had already opposed the plea for the postponement of the exam but they assured the supreme court that the month june is the more favorable because the spread of COVID 19 is substantially low and assured that all the protocol related to COVID 19 will carried out.
Today, the supreme court passed the decision on the extent the Opt-out whether under the old or new syllabus option for those candidates who have recently suffered from COVID 19 or yet to recover from it after the ICAI’s agreement to the same.
The court also stated that the they will not pass any decision about to the postponement of the exam on Wednesday.,
