After a meeting chaired by the Prime Minister, in the presence of various ministers, it was decided that the class 12th Board Examinations of CBSE and ISC students will not take place for the session of 2020-2021.
The meeting was being attended by the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar and Minster of Defence, Rajnath Singh.
Modi said that,”Government of India has decided to cancel the Class XII CBSE Board Exams. After extensive consultations, we have taken a decision that is student-friendly, one that safeguards the health as well as future of our youth,”.
However, a final decision hasn’t been taken yet, though the board has demanded the data of Class 12 students as to what was their performance in class 9,10 and 11. It’s being expected that the results will be declared on the basis of average of these three classes’s results.
But, whatever be the method of assessment which is yet to be declared by both the CBSE and ISC boards, it’ll be a well defined method while will ensure timely declaration of the results of the students, so that, there will be no further delay in their admissions in higher educational institutions.
