In Narada Sting Tape case, the Calcutta High Court, on Wednesday, adjourned the hearing till Thursday afternoon. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested in this case a former Mayor of Kolkata and three leaders of Trinamool Congress.
The four will remain in judicial custody as the division bench of the court will noe continue the hearing on 2PM on Thursday. The all four were arrested on Monday morning.
While, making the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, State Law Minister, Moloy Ghatak and TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee party to the transfer plea, the CBI has requested the Chief Justice Rajesh Bindal and Justice Ajit Banerjee to transfer the plea to the High Court and also requested them to make the proceedings of the Special CBI Court null in the eyes of the law.
However, the High Court has adjourned the proceedings till Thursday, after hearing both the parties for over two hours.
“It is clear from recent developments that Mamata Banerjee and her party are trying hard to influence the CBI probe….”, State BJP president Dilip Ghosh said.
