What Is The Use Of More Beds, If Doctors Are Not Available: High Court Asks Delhi Government

What is the use of beds and wards if there are not enough doctors, the Delhi High Court on Monday asked the Delhi government, alluding to claims that the new devoted COVID-19 office in Dwarka – Indira Gandhi Hospital – needed more clinical staff.

The Delhi government said the issue of absence of doctors has never been raised the court, reacted that there is an issue in regards to the absence of doctors and “we should not flee from it”.

The court said that when elections come, full-page promotions are found in each paper, yet now there are no advertisements in the main English dailies as to prerequisites for specialists or nursing staff.

The court, from there on, guided the Delhi government to put the details before it which will incorporate the information of beds – with and without oxygen and ICU and non-ICU – at the new clinic where 250 beds have been operationalised.
