CBI framed charges against Hoods in AJL plot allotment case

In the Associated Journal plot allotment case, charges were being framed against the former Chief Minister of Haryana, Bhupinder Singh Hooda by a Special CBI Court in Panchkula.

In the case, which will now come up for hearing on May 7, charges under section 420(Cheating) and 120B(Party to criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code and under section 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act were being framed on the contention of the defence lawyer.

However, when these charges were being framed, the senior Congress leader was present there.

The application, seeking the removal of his(Hooda) and Senior Congress leader Moti Lal Vora’s name from the case, was rejected by the CBI Court. The CBI said that Hoods was involved in the case as he by misusing his power and position alloted plots to AJL as a favour.
