Karnataka High court extends life of all interim orders passed by it and subordinate courts till 29 May,2021

The karnataka High court has further extended the life of all interim orders passes by high court, tribunals, and subordinate till May 29,2021.

A division bench headed by Chief Justice Abhay shreeniwas oka had decided to extended the life of interim orders by an order dated April 16,2020.

The extension is said to be renewed from time to time over tha past year. If any orders of eviction, dispossession or demolition are already passed by the high court, District court, the same shall be in abeyance for a period of 1 month.

The court has also made it very clear that if any person desires to apply for vacating an interim order, he/she may apply before the concerned court.

The court had passed the directions while hearing a case suo motu after receiving letters highlighting the difficulties faced by COVID 19 positive patients in the state. It has been said that the citizens must feel confident some machinery must be there to deal with their grievances the court observed.

The matter is to be heard on April 17.
