Show cause notice stayed by Saket district Court in Markaz case

The Principal district and session judge of Saket district court puts stay on the order of a Delhi court which imposed a fine of Rs. 10,000/- and a show cause notice to the DCP of crime branch. It was all related to the case of un- freezing of bank account of the Nizamuddin Markaz.

All this happened when the DCP, Tirkey failed to produce case diaries and also failed to file the reply in the matter, after which the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Arun Kumar Garg order Rs. 10,000/- fine to be imposed on the DCP and also ordered to file a show cause notice that why a Contempt of court proceedings should not be initiated against him.

However, the Principal DSJ, Neena Bansal Krishan stayed the order of CMM, Arun Garg.

Now the matter will again come up for hearing before the court on May 17.

However, the Delhi Court had on December 15 acquited around 35 foreigners who all attended the Tablighi Jamaat event in Nizamuddin Markaz violating the Covid-19 guidelines.
