UK court allowed Nirav Modi’s Extradition

On Thursday, an U.k court decided that diamond businessman Nirav Modi can be deported to India to face fraud and money laundering allegations in the Rs 14,000-crore, scam case of the Punjab National Bank (PNB).

Rejecting Modi’s allegations that his psychological state was deteriorating due to the epidemic and conditions in the prisons of India is too bad, the states that the probe of the Central Bureau of Investigation shows his power regarding dummy companies. The court ordered that the prison must provide Modi with sufficient medical services and psychological counseling.

However, Nirav Modi can still move to the UK High Court.

The Westminster Magistrate court’ in London held in its order that Modi colluded to destroy proof and harass witnesses. The deportation judge claimed that Barrack 12 was fit for Modi at Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai and after his deportation to India, he would never be denied justice.
