Toolkit Matter: Tushar Mehta assures High Court about no leakage of information from Delhi Police’s end

The Delhi Police on Thursday has strongly denied all the allegations levied upon them of leaking of personal chats and documents relating to its probe against climate activist Disha Ravi, in connection with the sedition case filed against her over editing and planning a toolkit relating to the farmers’ protest, going on in the country.

“There is no leakage from the Police’s end, I will put this on an affidavit too,” Solicitor General Tushar Mehta appearing for the Delhi Police told the honourable bench of the High Court which was being headed over by Justice Prathiba M. Singh.

This plea is merely a gimmick to grab media attention, Mehta reacted.Observing that the matter requires more consideration, the honourable court has now put up the matter for further hearing on Friday.

The 22-year-old girl in her petition filed through Advocate Abhinav Sikri also sought directions and proper instructions to the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting seeking to take appropriate action against Respondent Nos. 4-6 and all other satellite TV channels including under the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995.
