An application is being filed by the CBI in the special court of CBI in Mohali, seeking the exemption for the personal appearance of A.K. Yadav, Additional Supritendent of Police, CBI, who is the investigating officer in the 2015 sacrilege case.
It is being contended in the application that the IO is on an official tour to Mumbai as he is investigating the Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case.A relief of ten days is being sought by the CBI, so that the IO may be able to present the case before the court when he’ll come back from Mumbai.
The case is therefore being adjourned to 21 January. The court, therefore, noted that if he still be unable to mark his presence on the next date, then the court had directed the Supritendent of Police, CBI, New Delhi to send any authorised person under his authority letter so that whoever will come can collect the materials of the case.
