The fees payable by lawyers at the time of enrolment, has been increased by the Bar Council of Delhi, with effect from January 1, 2021.
A candidate, who is applying immediately after his/her LL.B course, shall now have to pay a total of Rs. 14,300 at the time of enrolment with the Council, as per a Notice issued by Bar Council of Delhi.
Enrolment, identity card, building fund, library fund, indigent fund, welfare fund, advocates welfare fund will included in this amount .
Rs. 600 and Rs. 100 are the amount payable towards enrolment fees and identity card respectively.
For welfare fund, Rs. 3,000 is the contribution under Rule 40 of the BCI Rules. Rs. 700 is the contribution towards the Bar Council of Delhi’s welfare fund for advocates.
A candidate who is applying five years of passing LL.B, has to pay a total of Rs. 20,000 at the time of his/her enrolment on account of the increase in payble amount for various heads.
Rs. 35,000 is payable by retired person to Bar Council of Delhi .
Enrolment by circulation fee has been increased from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 5,000.
There is no increase in the cost of enrolment form which is available at Rs. 1,000.
