Woman incorrectly frames three muslim men under anti conversion law

A young married woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly filed a fake complaint against three Muslim men under the new anti-conversion ordinance, claiming they were stalking and sexually harassing her and were forcing her to convert and marry one of them. Police inquires found out that the complaints were false and they submitted against the complaint, a report under Section 182 (false information with the intent to cause a public servant to his lawful power to the injury of another person) of the Indian Penal Code. Police found out that she had an affair with one of those three men. she eloped with him, following which her uncle lodged a missing complaint with the police. She was recovered within nine days. Her family, later, married her off to man belonging to their community.
