A 45 year old nurse has been tested positive for covid-19 after a week receiving the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine.
Matthew w, is a nurse who works at two local hospitals, said that on December 18 he has received the Pfizer vaccine, saying that after the vaccine his arms was sore for one day but otherwise there was not any other side effect.Six days later on 25 December, he became sick after working in a shift of covid-19 unit.he became sick, got chills and later also reported muscle aches and fatigue.
Christian Ramers, an infectious disease specialist with Family Health Centers of San Diego, told that this scenario was not unexpected.
“We know from the vaccine clinical trials that it’s going to take about 10 to 14 days for you to start to develop protection from the vaccine,” Ramers said.
“That first dose we think gives you somewhere around 50%, and you need that second dose to get up to 95%,” protection.
