The Madhya Pradesh High Court sets the man free who was arrested for a WhatsApp status regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019. A bail was given on the basis of the instructions given by the counsellor and was let free for the counselling session. The counselling will happen in the month of February, March and April 2021 before the Social worker Advocate Rashmu Pandey. He was arrested in the month of July 2020.

• Section 188 of Indian Penal Code
• Section 505(2) of Indian Penal Code
The WhatsApp status was anti-CAA and the prosecution contended that the status was prejudicial to the order and maintenance of religious harmony because it propagates communal sentiments. Also the status could affect the public tranquility. The bail was granted only after his undertaking with a promise that he not act in a way that affects the national identity and integrity.
