Founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba who was sentenced twice is not in Jail

According to the information provided by Indian Intelligence agencies, Hafiz Saeed, founder of Lashker-e-Taliba has been sentenced twice to undergo jail, terms exceeding 10 years but is not being held in prison.

Plotting of 26/11, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed is wanted in India. He runs the terror group from his Johar Town house in Lahore. He was sanctioned by US Security Council and not serving the jail according to the people familier with the matter, instead he is at his home.

Hafiz Saeed is not in Kot Lakhpat jail of Lahore, which is a high security jail as accessed by Indian Intelligence. “He is mostly at home.. ostensibly in protective custody that even lets him recieve guests,” an intelligence official said.

According to intelligence, Saeed’s visitor was Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi at his home, the chief operational commander and the head of the LeT’s Jihad wing. The meeting was about to collect the funds for jihad, as per the information. Lakhvi is the lead plotter of the 26/11, and like Saeed, he is also a UNSC designated terrorist.
