Following the Covid-19 crisis, the reports of community transmission have been reported in Kasaragod and Kannur districts of Kerala.
However, the situation is somehow normal in Kannur where the lockdown was stringent and the containment zones were under triple lockdown.
In order to curb the spreading of the virus, district police chief Yathish Chandra G H decided to impose ‘red card’ surveillance under which anyone can contact the police if anyone who is quarantined steps out of the house.
There will be a distribution of cards with the help of the volunteers under the Janamaithri police station and and also the voluntary groups and volunteers under the ward-level committees.
