The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court has decided to revert back to video conferencing mode again, for hearing cases, considering the COVID-19 situation.
Filing of the caes can be done both online (e-filing facility) or offline (physical filling). Physical filling shall be available on all working days till 4 P.M.
The advocates have to register their email i.d and phone number in the court’s portal, to receive their respective link for the video conferencing hearing. The registration shall not be done later than 8 P.M, one day prior to the hearing. The video conferencing facility has also been extended to Arbitration and Mediation Centre. Not more 2 advocates from each side are allowed to join the platform, during the hearing.
The court has also dispensed annexing of affidavits in support of facts in a a matter filed through E-mode. The condition being that a Litigant is not in a position to swear the same at Lucknow and on having an undertaking by their respective advocates.
The respective advocate shall have to submit the AADHAR Number, full details of it with a declaration of the authenticity made in the application/petition. However, a proper affidavit must be filed in hard copy within a period of one month from the date the lockdown is lifted.
