India recorded 19,95,178 COVID – 19 cases or 54% of the total coronavirus cases in August alone. Whereas there has been augment in the number of cases despite of the recovery rate surpassing the number of deaths due to coronavirus. The number of deaths reported in India in August were 28,777.
Recently , the lockdown restrictions have been removed and country has opened due to the decreasing GDP, wherein people have stopped taking precautions and the scenario has tend to be the worst now.
India has recorded a total of 36,91,166 coronavirus cases so far and the aggregate death toll stands at 65,288,according to the latest data provided by Ministry of Health.
According to the WHO(World Health Organization), India reported majority of new cases in the past week than any country,its nearly half a million fresh infections pushed the global tally up by 1 percent.
