
Recently Supreme Court dismissed a plea application seeking postponement of the JEE (Main) and NEET (UG) exams stating that “We find that there is absolutely no justification in the prayer made for postponement of the examination in question relating to NEET-UG 2020 as well JEE (Main).”
After Supreme Court dismissal on Tuesday in a press release National Testing Agency (NTA) announced that NEET (UG) and JEE (Main) examinations will be held in September on the scheduled dates i.e. 13th September and from 1st to 6th September respectively.
NTA stated that admits cards of JEE Main examinations has already been released and soon admit cards of NEET (UG) will also be released and number of centers for both increased to 660 and 3843 from 570 and 2565 respectively as a precautionary measure and for the convenience of the students 99% of students have been allotted centers of their first choice. NTA said it is bounded to ensure proper mechanisms inclusive of seat allotments keeping in account of Social-Distancing.
