RSLSA is all set to organize its 1st online Lok Adalat in consonance with NLSA in the whole of State of Rajasthan. Aspirational Districts such as Jaisalmer, Sirohi, Dhaulpur, Barmer and Karauli were also included in the list. A total of 47,654 cases were taken up in Lok Adalats. The opening ceremony of the online Lok Adlat was attended by many itinerary’s such as Justice N V Ramana, Judge of Supreme Court and Justice Ajay Rastogi, SC Judge and Executive Chairman of NLSA.
In his speech Justice Raman focused the value of Lok Adalat and focused on its role in ensuring justice even at the remotest parts of the Country. He stated that “We have to ensure the e-Lok Adalat remains the ‘People’s Lok Adalat’, and take it to other parts of the country.” He also said that “As a result of the pandemic, people’s lives have changed drastically. Social stigma with respect to the disease, had led to a number of issues such as forced evictions of frontline workers, families of Covid patients, and even of people who are merely suspected of having the illness”
The project for the Lok Adalats was approved in May, 2020 and was designed in a manner that it could reach to the common man.
