
The Administrative and General Supervision Committee of Delhi High Court took a decision to suspend the physical functioning of the Delhi High Court and the subordinate courts till 31st July, 2020.
The matters which are pending before the High Court from 16th to 31st July are adjourned and will be now be heard in September. At the same time, the cases in subordinate courts have also been adjourned.
Physical filing of ordinary and non-urgent matters will be permitted in subordinate courts but will be taken for hearing after the courts resume their normal functioning. The hearing for urgent matters and disposal of final hearing of certain cases will be done through video conferencing as before.
The subordinate courts will also continue to hear the urgent matters through video conferencing during this period. Earlier, the High Court and other subordinate courts were suspended till July 15.
