India to operate 1000 more flights under Vande Bharat Scheme

Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri announced that about 1050 flights will be allowed to operate under both private airlines and Air India under the scheme. This will be helpful for the stuck Indians who want to return home.

Air India is the only carrier that has the ability to fly to countries in the UK, US, Europe and Canada. Other airlines can operate for short-haul international destinations.

Vistara is the flight among all the private ones, which can easily fly to Uk, but due to Covid-19, it can not do so. The Vande Bharat flights till date have allowed and operated 100,000 Indians back in 389 flights from all over the world.

The government today also announced that they might initiate few more flights to new destinations in its attempt to unlock Domestic Civil Aviation in a calibrated manner.

It is also believed by Arun Kumar that soon when hubs like Mumbai and Bengaluru airports will be in a position to resume, there will be an increase in the growth of domestic flights.
